6 May, 2013 | Marama Receives Voyager Award

The Setzer-designed "Marama," built at Delta Marine in 2008, was the recipient of the Voyager's Award at the 2013 World Superyacht Awards in Istanbul, Turkey. Introduced in 2009, the award was sponsored by Alloy Yachts and "aims to celebrate an owner who has made extensive use of his or her yacht in long-distance voyaging and exploration." 

23 April, 2013 | Setzer to Introduce 2014 Concept Collection

Inspired by a busy Caribbean charter season observed from our newly-opened Antigua studio, the Setzer team is currently developing a collection of two dozen new concept designs from 32 to 70 meters. The group will be narrowed to a final selection of 12 to 14 designs, with preview imagery planned for release over the summer months. READ MORE

15 April, 2013 | Penny Mae Travel Feature in Yachts International

The 42-meter, Setzer-designed "Penny Mae" was featured in this month's issue of Yachts International. Currently in charter-service along Croatia's Dalmatian coast, the yacht was constructed by Richmond Yachts

10 April, 2013 | Acadia Sold to New Owner

The 26-meter classic yacht Acadia was sold to a new owner. Designed by Setzer Yacht Architects and constructed at Lyman-Morse shipyard in Maine, the yacht was a finalist for the International Superyachts Society award for "Best Power" in 2003. 

28 March, 2013 | Status Quo Sold to New Owner

The 46-meter, Setzer-designed "Status Quo" has been sold to a new owner. Launched by Richmond Yachts in 2010, the vessel is ABS classed and MCA compliant with a top speed of 19 knots. 

26 March, 2013 | NISI 2400GT Finalist for BMW Asia Boating Awards

The Setzer-designed NISI 2400 GT has been selected as a finalist for "Best Yacht of the Year" at the 2013 BMW Asia Boating Awards. The ninth-annual awards show will be hosted by Asia-Pacific Boating / China Boating magazine  and official title sponsor BMW. Equipped with two Volvo IPS propulsion pods, the vessel delivers speeds approaching 30 knots. 

18 March, 2013 | Fraser Yachts Central Listing Agent for Logos 88

Fraser Yachts has been assigned as central listing agent for the Setzer-designed, Logos Long Range Cruiser. Boasting a range of 3,000nm, the yacht is designed for construction to Bureau Veritas class and MCA standards. The vessel a steel hull with composite superstructure for easy maintenance, and zero speed stabilisers. A comfortable four stateroom interior and expansive exterior deck spaces make her ideal for long range cruising.

8 February, 2013 | Outer Reef Explorer Featured in Showboats

The Setzer-Designed, Outer Reef Explorer Series appeared in this February's issue of Showboats Magazine. The new series of tri-deck motor yachts ranges in size from 92 to 115 feet, and is designed on a semi-displacement platform with moderate draft for unlimited cruising, exploration, and ocean crossings. 

28 January, 2013 | NISI 1700 Featured in INVICTUS

The Setzer-Designed NISI 1700 was featured in the Winter edition of INVICTUS magazine. Developed for a prominent, North-East American entrepreneur, politician, and philanthropist, the vessel will be equipped will be equipped with an UltraJet propulsion package and is scheduled to launch in the spring of 2014.

Setzer Yacht Architects opened the doors to a brand new design studio  this week during the Antigua Yacht Charter Show. Situated in the heart of Antigua's Falmouth Harbour superyacht marina, the new studio will provide and inspirational setting for Setzer Yacht Architects to continue its 22-year commitment to creating timeless and instantly recognizable custom yacht designs.

15 November, 2012 | MAGIC SOLD TO NEW OWNER

The Setzer-designed superyacht Magic, built by Northern Marine in 2005, has been sold to a new owner. With an LOA of 40 meters, the vessel features two VIP Staterooms and cruising speeds of 14 knots.

30 October, 2012 | TWO SETZER PROJECTS FEATURED IN SUPERYACHT WORLD

The Setzer-designed, 115-foot Outer Reef Explorer was featured in the "New Concepts" section of the November / December 2012 issue of SuperYacht World. Additionally, the studio's 34m Relentless, built in 2006 was pictured on page 32.

26 October, 2012 | NISI AWARDED CONTRACT FOR FIRST SETZER-DESIGNED XPRESSO

NISI Yachts has been awarded a contract for the Setzer-Designed NISI 1700 model. Commissioned by a successful Northeast American entrepreneur, politician, and philanthropist, the yacht will be the fourth Setzer design in the company's line-up and will launch in the spring of 2013. READ MORE

A new Setzer studio is scheduled to open this December in the heart of Antigua's Falmouth Harbor Superyacht Marina. The studio will provide an inspirational setting for the Setzer team as it pushes forward with its "smart design" philosophy on a number of exciting new projects  from 17-70 meters.

17 September, 2012 | M/Y EXCELLENCE HAS NEW OWNER

The Setzer-designed Excellence,  a 25-meter classic motoryacht constructed by Lyman-Morse in 2004, has recently been purchased by an experienced owner based in New England. Originally named Wombat, the yacht was the recipient of a 2004 International Superyacht Society Award  for "Best Power," in the 23-32 meter size category, and was profiled in a 2005 Yachting Magazine feature entitled "Flawless." 

12 September, 2012 | NISI 1700 UNVEILED AT CANNES BOAT SHOW

Cannes, France - Imagery of the new Setzer-designed, NISI 1700 project was unveiled today at the 35^th Annual Festival de la Plaisance. With construction underway for a mid-2013 delivery, she is the third Setzer-designed model to be introduced in NISI's yacht collection in a little over a year.  The vessel will feature an Ultrajets propulsion package and twin Caterpillar C-18s, with top speeds of 30+ knots. Additional imagery  is available on the Setzer Yacht Architects website.

Setzer Yacht Architects, working in collaboration with Logos Marine, is proud to announce a new 88' (27 m) "Fast Passage" yacht designed for an experienced owner with an appreciation for modern, seagoing vessels offering comfort. The yacht's versatile, semi-displacement hull will provide both extended range and fast cruise options off of a Caterpillar C-18 propulsion system. Setzer Yacht Architects announced today that it will be promoting a new design for a 66-foot (20-meter) sailing catamaran, which has been developed for Front Street Shipyard of Belfast, Maine. Designing for ease of operation, the multi-hull sailing yacht will be equipped for extended, offshore cruising. 8 March, 2010 | NEW 32 METER CONCEPT FOR VICEM YACHTS

Setzer Yacht Architects has developed a 32-meter raised pilothouse concept for Vicem Yachts of Turkey. Featuring sweeping main and pilothouse deck windows, the design incorporates an on-deck master stateroom and four guest accommodations. Propulsion will be provided by twin MTU 16V 2000s, with top speeds around 26 knots.

8 February, 2010 | VL-56 UNDER DEVELOPMENT FOR DUBAI CLIENT

Setzer Yacht Architects has announced the premier of the "VL-56," another futuristic design from its Vision Line of projects.
