SETZER JOINS FORCES WITH FITTIPALDI YACHTS
Setzer Yacht Architects has teamed up with Fittipaldi Yachts of Brazil to design and promote a series of robust superyachts. The series contains four principal designs from 40 to 60 meters that "combine the refined and innovative looks of today's most modern yachts with our sensibilities about the future of yachting -- in remote locations or world-class resorts -- all on a grand scale," said Ward Setzer, President of Setzer Yacht Architects.
The Fittipaldi yard is owned by legendary Formula One racing brothers Wilson and Emerson Fittipaldi. (Emerson is a two-time F1 world champion, IndyCar World Series Champ, and two-time Indy 500 winner.) Fittipaldi Yachts and Setzer Design Group decided to combine their efforts after the yard recently bid one of Setzer's projects. A relationship of mutual respect for each company's pedigree developed quickly.
Setzer and Fittipaldi are both actively promoting the aptly named Fittipaldi "S"Series of vessels to potential clients and brokers. Bids have been presented to interested parties and custom adaptations are being addressed by the Setzer studio.
Amenities in the "S" Series (S 40, S 46, S 50, and S 60) will include generous owner's suites, panoramic windows, al fresco bars, theaters, gyms, cabana boat garages, infinity pools, helicopter pads and crows nests. All areas will be outfitted with luxurious finishes and amenities. All vessels will be built to class rules and all systems will be composed of professional-grade equipment most typical for superyachts of today.
