Yacht "Never on Sunday" Finalist for 2013 World Superyacht Trophy

The recently launched NISI motor yacht "Never on Sunday" (17 meters / 56 feet)  has been nominated for the 2013 World Yachts Trophy in the "Most Innovative Design Under 24 Meters" category. Designed by Setzer Yacht Architects, the vessel is the first model to be released in NISI's XPRESSO 1700 series.  Featuring twin UltraJets mated to 1150 CAT C-18 engines, the yacht is partially constructed in carbon fiber and delivers speeds in excess of 37 knots. 

"The design process for the 1700 resembled that of an aircraft more than a yacht, and in many ways beyond just jet propulsion," said Ward Setzer, principal at Setzer Yacht Architects. "Like an airplane fuselage, we wanted a light-weight hull shell with sufficient stiffness to safely sustain loads at high-speeds without sacrificing too much vital space for interior accommodations."

Award Winners for the World Yachts Trophy will be announced later this month at the Cannes International Boat Show.
